1st GFELTP Scientific Conference and 10th Anniversary Celebration, Sept 18 - 21, 2017

The Ghana Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Program (GFELTP) will organise the 1st GFELTP Scientific Conference and 10th Anniversary Celebration in Accra, Ghana themed " A decade of Field Epidemiology Training in Ghana: Scaling up Workforce Development to Improve Public Health ". The conference is planned for September 18-21, 2017, with pre-conference workshops to be held on September 18, 2017.

Abstract submission is open to current trainees/fellows and graduates from advanced  and frontline level field-based training programs in applied epidemiology, laboratory, and public health practice. Other students and health workers (nurses, physicians, laboratory scientists etc) are also invited to submit abstracts (in English only) for consideration. Priority will be given to current FETP trainees/fellows.

SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS:

Deadline for final abstracts:The deadline for abstracts to be received via GFELTP is Friday, July 7, 2017 by 17:00 p.m. GMT.

Submission of abstracts: Current trainees/fellows of FE(L)TPs submitting abstracts should receive approval for submission from their Academic Coordinators and/or Resident Advisors. Academic Coordinators /resident advisors should encourage and assist their fellows/graduates to submit abstracts to the program.

Web-based abstract collection: Abstracts will be collected on AFENET web-based system, which will open for submissions on June 9, 2017. First-time visitors to this site will be prompted to create an account and log in; this is necessary to submit an abstract.
